NATIONALS WIN, WIN, WIN
Four-win streak, top position in the NL east, just clobbered the venerable Diamondbacks 9-3. Moments ago, I watched closer Cordero's final pitches. I'll watch the whole game tomorrow and blather on excitedly after that.
The Nationals. Who'd have thought. Talk about the little team that could. Can they keep it up? Wilkerson, Guillen, Vidro, and Castilla -- must do research. These guys are great at bat and working beautifully with a pitching staff that hasn't even had a month to prove itself.
If my new understanding of ERA is in order, Patterson's 7-inning ERA of 1.29 is excellent.
