BAD, BAD BROADCASTERS
A while back, I attacked the White Sox TV announcers for their venal, crass offenses against the good name of baseball broadcasting. While the Mets announcers aren't quite that bad, they kind of suck. Obnoxious attempts to be funny that are obvious obnoxious attempts to be funny never score well with me (but apparently they score well with someone or these ass clowns would be out of jobs, no?). Either you're funny or your not. Don't pretend to be something other.
The problem with clumsy, distracted, overly chatty broadcasters is that they utterly detract from the game. The solution is simple. Like sound tracks, you should be able to disable the announcer track. You may elect to keep the general stadium sounds, the sounds of grunts and bat cracks, of balls whipping from one mitt to another. That would be more like watching a game live.
Sometimes, you just get sick and tired of hearing idiots talk about stuff when they should instead shut their cakeholes.
[Update] Ugh, they are so bad, I've turned off the video and am listening to the audio of D.C. broadcasters instead. The Nationals, on a brilliant bunt, just took first and moved a man to third, but all the Mets ass clowns could talk about was themselves and their team. Terrible. No sense of perspective or sportsmanship.
