HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FRANK ROBINSON

Frank Robinson turned 70 today. The Nationals helped him celebrate by winning the 2nd game of their doubleheader in classic Nationals fashion: by 1 run late in the game. Oh, and what a play that was. Brad Wilkerson made a rare attempt to steal 3rd base. He'd have made it on a slide even if the ball from behind home plate had been on target. The Braves' catcher overthrew into left field, allowing Brad to pick his dirty self up off the ground and haul ass home. Great stuff! Half an inning later, the Chief turned on the strike-machine and shut down Atlanta.

This is the first time in eons Washington leads in a series, 2-1, with the 4th game tomorrow night.
