COLORADO
After the dismal games against the Reds that I attended in Chicago, where the Cubs looked and acted like they'd given up and were already waiting for "next year", I decided it was time to write the 2005 season off. And so, of course, they surprised me and won series against both the Cardinals and the Astros.
They start a series with Colorado tonight, and I fly out tomorrow morning to catch the Saturday and Sunday games. How am I feeling about these upcoming games? Not good. The Cubs have been winning against teams they shouldn't, and I have the ugly suspicion that this weekend, they will lose to a team they should beat. But hey, there's always the beer, hotdogs, peanuts, and more beer to look forward to.
Oh, and on the topic of hotdogs--and I am completely not being biased here--Wrigley has had the best of any park I've been to this year. I'll let you know how Colorado compares.
