#1 GRAND SLAM
Well, I'm just pink, like a scrubbed Caucasian cheek, with excitement. Brad Wilkerson, my main man in Washington, just hit the Nationals' first grand slam of the season, allowing them to take an 8th-inning 7-0 lead over the dark and villainous LA Dodgers. Oh, wait, I feel something coming on...
Schwing!
With this astonishing and unprecedented moment, the Nationals look solid to take their first series since early July, and to take it from the (boo! hiss!) Dodgers. Did I say "schwing!" already?
John Patterson's dominance, not something we see to this magnitude, may allow him to pitch an entire shutout game. I believe it might be his first complete game this year. With a 2.44 ERA, Mr. Patterson is looking, I dunno, kinda hot. God bless Nationals pitching. How else are we going to plod through the second half.
And thank you, Brad, I knew there was a good reason I bought a t-shirt with your name on it!
