SIR, YOUR HEART ATTACK IS READY
OK, so I'm doing yoga this afternoon so I don't have a coronary while multitasking between the Nationals@Braves contest and game 2 of the Giants@Cubs series. I felt like this when the Nationals swept the Cubs in Chicago. Two of my favorite teams duelling. That's good stuff.
Now, it's San Francisco and Chicago. The former is badder than average, the latter, um, gooder than average? You know what I mean.
Last night, the better team won. In fact, it was a terrific demonstration of a better team winning. The Cubs weren't messing around. They plowed through San Francisco's bullpen—I took a Dramamine after Felipe Alou swapped out, like, the 30th pitcher. And Chicago's command of small ball in the bottom of the 9th was textbook stuff. Young Rich Hill, as Wood-relieving starter, gave up some runs and hits, but I was kind of impressed. I didn't know Dusty had that Ace up his sleeve. Get well, soon, Kerry!

I really enjoyed last night’s game, and you know what's crazy? I felt better about last night’s victory and the Cubs display of fundamentals and tenacity than I did after either of the St. Louis wins where they would have lost if not for a surge of homerun hitting.
Game 2 is in progress, but I'm, so far, blissfully ignorant (I'll listen later tonight or tomorrow morning). I hope it's not inducing any heart attacks.
