TOMORROW'S SUPERSTAR?

On July 7, in an embarrassing defeat for the Cubs, native Atlantan Jeff Francoeur, the Braves 21-year old wunderkind, in his first at bat, hit a home run. Since then, he's racked up two more home runs and 7 RBIs, all in 20 at bats. Wowie zowie! One of those home runs happened during today's Braves game here in San Francisco.

Why don't we (i.e., Giants, Nationals, Cubs) get spankin' new superheroes (with all due respect to Derek Lee, of course)?

This kid is hot. Sssssssss. Best of luck to him. Maybe one day, he'll leave stupid ol' Atlanta and play for a real team. Like, you know, Boston.
