The Cubs swept the Marlins. Which is great, I think. I... I don't know what to write. I can't decide if this is a sign of good things to come or just another setup on the masochist roller-coaster of Cubs fandom. I think that I want to be guardedly optimistic. Maybe.

Cubs beating the Marlins is great for plenty of reasons. Right before the All-Star break, it gives the Cubs a really upbeat vibe. Beating the Marlins is always good, especially since it keeps them out of the Nationals' way. Cubs really meshed offensively and defensively for the first time in weeks. After the Atlanta-series fiasco, this showed the Cubs are better than average. I won't go into the fact that Marlins pitching reeked like old-lady panties, and defensively, they were on qualuudes. Go Cubbies!
