WEEKEND OF DRAMA
Gotta say I'm excited about the matchups this weekend. Last week was tough for all my teams. We might see heavy-duty spankings (Marlins vs. Cubs, Cardinals vs. Giants) and a very tight contest between the Phillies and Nationals.
In progress: I haven't watched a lick of it yet, but the Cubs are blowing Florida away 8-1 in the top of the 5th. A comfortable lead of the Nationals over the Phillies (5-0) just got closer (5-3) in the bottom of the 5th. The potential humiliation of the Giants by the swift and merciless Cards may be too much to bear...but I'll watch it anyway.
And, hey...I predicted in email to Erik that the Cubs were going to suffer at Dontrelle Willis' hand. And look how wrong I was (am so far) about that.
