DONE DEAL

The deal is done and "Guardedly Optimistic" has officially been traded for "Sitting With My Head In My Hands Crying". In the last week the Cub lost two of three to the Phillies (which included an especially bone-head play in the ninth that I fortunately have not seen but have heard recounted three times) and then a sweep by the friggin' Mets!?! I admit it, all hope has departed this Cubs fan. And this, just in time for me to attend my first game at Wrigley in three seasons and my first Wrigley night game ever. But I suppose that's why I'm a Cubs fan. Even when the team SUCKS and you want to HATE them with every ounce of your being, there's still Wrigley, and going is always a treat.
