THE AGONY OF DEFEAT

Oh, man, the Cincinnati Reds stink so bad, but they've taken 2 games so far in their series against the Nationals. Today's game went 14 agonizing innings after D.C. tied things up -- 3-3 -- in the top of the ninth.

The Giants in the 7th are now 5-3 over the Dodgers -- always a juicy matchup. The Giants and Dodgers started out east, in New York, I believe, way back in the 1800s, which means their bi-coastal competition spans three centuries. Nice.

And it looks like the Cubs rallied in the bottom of the 8th to beat the (baby talk coming) sucky stupid Astros. Is that 3 wins, now? Dare one hope? I'll watch that game as soon as the Giants are done beating LA.
