IS IT SAFE?
The Cloud of Doom has been in full hurricane mode over the Cubs, and like a frightened puppy, I've been hiding under the covers waiting for it to pass. We've won two of our last three (putting us at 2 - 8 for the last 10 games) and I think I'm ready to un-board the windows and tentatively step back into the world. I realize that I might be checking too soon, that this may be a false calm in the eye of the storm, that more hostile winds might be waiting in the wings. I know this, maybe even expect it, but my eternal optimism propels me forward none the less. Prior takes the mound at 1:20 this afternoon. I'll be watching.

Looks like you picked the right time to come out from under the covers. Don't stray too far from the protection of those comforting linens, however...the Cloud of Doom, like Vader, is canny at striking back.
