WHY I SHOULD SHUT UP AND STOP PREDICTING GAMES

In my "crushing blows" post, I went on as if I have any idea how each game is going to turn out. I expected the Diamondbacks and Dodgers to blow away the Giants and Nationals, respectively. Look at me now: about six inches tall, like Fred Flinstone after an encounter with his mother-in-law.

Nationals beat the Dodgers 6-2, with grace and conviction. A terrific game. As I write this, the Giants, which led the Diamondbacks 7-1 waaaaay back in the 4th, are now tied in the bottom of the 9th, 8-8.
