ARMANDO WHO?

Starting pitcher Brett Tomko just pitched a complete 9-inning game, allowing the Giants to win 3-2 against the Pirates. Now, you might say, beating the Pirates is nothing to brag about. And you'd be right. But the Giants sorely need to see more of this kind of endurance in its pitchers if we're going to survive the pox on our pitching house. Thanks, Brett, for making my day.

OK, now I have to switch gears to the Cubs game...they're tied with Houston in the bottom of the 6th, 2-2. Meanwhile, Nationals are creaming the Mets (5-1, nyah, nyah), their statistical peers in the NL east. I'll watch that one later.
