PREVIEW: CUBBIES VERSUS NATIONALS
Erik,
I'm way excited about this match up. The Cubs have steam, now, and the Nationals, after their 2 losses, are hungry to step all over any team that doesn't have its act together. Both teams get a day to rest. What a beautiful series coming up. The first time Chicago will play D.C. this season. Nationals tend to do very well at RFK, so the Cubbies better take their vitamins and bring on some brilliant pitching. If they do, this could be a thrilling series, indeed.
My jumbo Star Wars party is this weekend, and little sister is coming in on Saturday, so I may not have time to watch/listen to the games, but I'll follow them closely nonetheless and post like crazy on Sunday, if not sooner.

Yes, these games are going to be way fun. I really have no idea what to expect. I had a hypothesis that with the Cubs losing the series against last place teams like the Phillies and Astros that they might actually show up for a real contender like the Nationals. Then I remembered the sweep by the Brewers. Also, the Cubs bats and starting pitching have been pretty good, but I have a feeling that the Nationals will just patiently wait for the first reliever to take the mound and then start tearing things apart.
