"A BREATHLESS, TRAUMATIC BALL GAME"

That's how the guy Yankees announcer describes the interminably boring showdown between LA and New York today. I guess it's a tribute to the gal Yankees announcer that she avoids such eye-rolling hyperbole. According to the guy announcer, the Yankees have "scratched" their way to a lead. Nice way to make it look like a corporate powerhouse bleeds and claws through a game. Not.

It's 3-2 in the top of the 9th, and this game is about as far from breathless and traumatic as the Braves/Astros game was all about those superlatives.

I'm bored to tears listening to two loathesome teams feud. Somebody win, already.

As I write, the guy announcer has had a seizure of some sort and is shrieking that the Yankees have won. Thank Silicon Valley for the mute button on my computer.

So, we have to endure yet another breathless, traumatic match (yawn) in game 5 of this way-not-spectacular series. Think I'll pin my excitement to the St. Louis/Houston contest coming up. That should be rich.
